Pricing

Pay for conversations.
Never for seats.

Palera uses per-conversation pricing rather than per-seat pricing: free up to 1,000 conversations a month, 4.9¢ per conversation up to 100,000 a month, and 3.2¢ above that. Full CCaaS is included at every tier. There are no seat licenses, no minimums and no setup fees. Your platform cost follows your volume instead of your headcount, so an idle seat costs you nothing.

Prefer to pay for results?

For high-volume programs, we can price on outcomes instead of conversations: appointments set, sales, resolved conversations. Tell us the result you need and we will build the pricing around it.

The unit

What counts as a conversation

In Palera, one billable conversation is one customer on one subject inside a rolling 72-hour window, across every channel they use.

A customer who texts on Monday, calls on Tuesday and chats on Wednesday about the same issue is one billable conversation, not three. The window is what stops a multi-channel handoff from being charged as several, which is the whole reason the record exists.

In Palera's analysis, about 80% of raw interactions become billable conversations, because the rest fold into a conversation that is already open.

Included at every tier

  • Voice, SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, chat and social
  • Predictive, preview, manual and cadence dialing
  • AI agent management and conversation grading
  • Routing, queues, callbacks and dispositions, with AI voice agents in place of an IVR
  • Custom dashboards and live reporting
  • Internal forms with branching and write-back
  • Scheduling, agent policy and adherence
  • CRM write-back over custom APIs
  • SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and FERPA

Where the per-seat model breaks

The per-seat model breaks as AI absorbs volume: idle seats keep costing money, so their effective price per conversation rises while Palera's falls on a published schedule. A CCaaS seat at $150 a month carries roughly 2,740 conversations, which works out at about 5.5¢ a conversation before a single AI add-on. That 5.5¢ is the best case for the seat.

Questions

Are the CCaaS features an extra charge?

No. Voice, SMS, chat, social, routing, dispositions, reporting, custom dashboards, internal forms and shift scheduling are included in the per-conversation price. There is no separate platform license and no per-seat line.

What about carrier and messaging fees?

Those are passed through at cost, whether you bring your own carriers or use Palera's. Telephony minutes, messaging segments and number rental are billed by the carrier at their rate, with no markup from us. You would pay these on any platform, and keeping them separate is what lets the conversation price stay flat.

Is there a minimum or a setup fee?

Neither. You pay for the conversations you have. If you have a quiet month, you pay for a quiet month.

What happens when I cross a band?

The lower rate applies automatically. You do not renegotiate, and you do not need to commit to a volume in advance to get the volume price.

Does Palera replace my CCaaS?

Only if you want it to. Palera runs as your full contact center platform, or as a layer on top of the CCaaS your client mandates, taking the AI agents, the grading and the reporting while their telephony contract stays where it is. The conversation record is the same either way.

Can Palera manage AI agents built by other vendors?

Yes. That is the point of the platform. Agents from other vendors run alongside your own and your live agents, are graded on the same rubric, and when you change vendors the conversation record, the scores and the reporting stay with you.

How do you count a conversation that spans channels?

As one. The unit is one customer on one subject inside a rolling 72-hour window, however many channels and however many agents, AI or human, touch it in that time.
